Android app does not update the times a verse has been reviewed.

I am not sure that the following is a bug, but cannot find another more suitable tag to use.

I read somewhere in the help section that the number of reviews shown for each verse only works up to a certain point depending on how frequently that verses required. Could you please explain how this works?

At present I have 583 passages which I have memorised and I review them every 122 days.

The app works fine at automatically changing the review number until 8 is reached. After this I have to edit each verse every time I use it and amend the review number. This is obviously quite a lot of hassle and I wondered if there is any way around it?

Many thanks for your help and just to say that generally I believe this is an amazingly good at four Bible memorisation.

A higher level means you can retain a verse for longer without reviewing it. If you limit the review interval, you also limit the maximum level a verse can reach. If you want higher levels, you need to set the review limit higher.

Example

Your review limit is set to 7 days while your review frequency is set to normal (= 2.0). This means that a verse will go through the following intervals:

After 1st successful review: interval until next review = 1 day (2⁰), level = 1 (0+1)
After 2nd successful review: interval until next review = 2 days (2¹), level = 2 (1+1)
After 3rd successful review: interval until next review = 4 days (2²), level = 3 (2+1)
After 4th successful review: interval until next review = 7 days (review limit), level = 4 (actually, it should be a bit less)

Since the review limit is reached, interval and level are not increased any further.
