Verses and study progress are synchronized automatically

Can I turn off auto Sync? It makes the new version almost unusable for me. I am in a situatin where I use the App on my device without access to the internet for several day at a times. Later when I open the App, with internet access, the App automatically reverts to the old data frpm the web site so I lose the verses I had reviewed and moved to the Known box.

There is no setting to turn off auto sync yet. Before we implement one, I would like to examine your issue, because what you are describing sounds like a bug in the synchronisation mechanism.
When the app on your mobile device reconnects, it should

retrieve all verses that were changed on the web app or on other devices since the last time the device was connected
compare all versions of the same verse and use the one that was modified last

If this were the case, the app would not load and use old data from the website, but the newest data on your mobile device.

Can you please provide a few examples of old data being loaded and used by the mobile app in order to give a clue where the synchronization goes wrong?

Thank you for replying. Part of the problem I was having may have been due to not understand how the new version worked and trying to get all my verses from the old to the new. I will want to work with the new more before responding to your questions.

I always used the old version off line. To move the verses to a different devise I just imported the text file. It worked well. The way i use the App is primarily like this. I have about 270 verses that I review ever 30 days. I have the App move 9 verses from Known to Due ever day. So, in Known I have 9 verses due in 30 days, 9 in 29 days, etc. If for some reason I miss a day there are 18 verses in Due. To get things back on track I review 9 and move them to Known. The App schedules them for 30 days. Then I change the APP Interval limit to 29 days and review the other 9 verses, the App schedules these for 29 days so I am all back to 'normal', 9 set for 29 days and 9 set for 30 days. The new version will not allow me to make this correction. It seems like if I change the interval limit in the new App it readjusts all the verse dates in the Known data base.

When my Android phone said I needed to update Remember Me I had no idea it was all new. In updating I lost the old version, and my verses were not in the new App. The new App would not accept my old online sign in credentials. I imported my old text file into the new App. The New verses were fine, I think. The Due and Known data verses were imported but the dates were changed and many that were in Known were now in Due, etc. And the dates in the Known data base varied from a single digit to three digits, 3 days to 130 days. I believe part of this was the problem I was having with auto sync. I was trying to get back to having 9 verses a day for 30 days in the Known Data. I cannot just change the interval limit as I did in the old App. And I cannot postpone a verse using a negative number of days. Also, when I review 9 verses now in Due and move them to Know most show 30 days and a few 16 days. I then have to use Postpone, to adjust the verse to 30 days. I am still working through all this, trying and understand the operation and make it how I used the old version.

I was trying to do what I needed done but I don't think the App will not let me change the Interval Limit without the App being connected to the web, etc. Makes figuring it out a bit confusing.

The App works fine when I am memorizing New verses. I would LOVE to have a review feature in App that allowed me to set the number of verses the App moves from Known to Due each day. It would work well for me to tell the App to Move x number (ie 9) of the oldest verses in Known to Due each day. Then I would not have to deal with trying to have 9 verses in Known for each of the 30 review days.

Since Remember Me's reviewing system is based on spaced repetition, it won't be possible to make it provide a fixed number of flashcards per day. There is no need to always empty the Due box, though. After reaching your daily goal (measured in successfully reviewed words - not flashcards) you can stop. If the Due box is empty before you have reached your goal, you can memorize new verses until reaching the daily goal. Eventually, things will balance out.

The newest update of the beta version (6.6.3) provides a couple of changes that might make your configuration process easier:

Postpone for a negative number of days
Edit account settings offline (except for the account name which has to be unique)

Thanks for your responce and upgrades, "Postpone for a negative number of days". That will help, I can do what I need to. I, like many others, have been memorizing Bible verses for many years so using the App is primarily about reguarly reviewing to Remember the large number of verses I have already memorized. Memerizing new verses is therefore a smaller part of why I use the App. This is true for many people I know who use the App. It works much better than paper flash cards, etc for storing and reviewing verses. I recomend the App to others for memorizing and rememreveiwing verses. The verses I daily work to Remember vary widely in regard to how many words the verses use. Therefore, "...your daily goal (measured in successfully reviewed words - not flashcards)_ ." is of not too much help to me. I memorize and review verses as verses, and these vary by a large amount as far as number of words each contains. As far as I know the App bascially tells how many entries, verses I have in the App not how many words I have in the App. I see no needed for knowing how many words I have memorized in the past. So to reach the daily goal, defined in words, means I may review only a few verses or a large number of actual verses each day to reach the goal. Therefore, I see no way in the App to determine what daily goal (words) to set to review all my memorized verses in a fixed time period, for me 30 days. But. it easy to know how many verses i need to review each day. The App is flexible and helpful for adding and learning new verses, etc. I do love the App and recomend it to others. Yet, as I get more and more verses in the App reviewing to Remember already learned verses take proirity. It is at the point I am reviewing 50 to 100 verses for each new one I memerize. With the revisions I was able to organize it as as I wanted to, thank you again.

Also, because the App is flexible it works and is very useful for memorizing, reviewing and looking up things other than Bible verses, and I do this. The App allows me to type in verses with references or other things like Word definitions. I have in the App definitions for Bible Words such as "Glory", "Holy", etc which I quote when teaching and sharing Bible truths. This App allows me to review these regularly along with Bible verses. I need to review and remember these definitions also. For me it has been very helpful to do this also. I have references in this App from multiple sources and the App makes it easy for me to look them up on the spot. Also, I can use a label like "definition". I enter a word definition like this, "'1.4 Glory' The glory of God is the sum of all His infinite excellence and praiseworthiness set forth in display. To glorify God is first of all to respond properly to this display by ascribing to Him the honor and adoration due Him because of His excellence. Bridges, Jerry. The Joy of Fearing God (p. 214). The Crown Publishing Group. Kindle Edition". If I order my entries in the App using Reference in the App all my word definitions are first in the list. I understand this was not the inteded use of the App, but I find it very useful.

I'm glad you enjoy the app's versatility! I suggest to use different verse accounts for different things (Bible verses, word definitions, etc.). In RM 6 you can switch very quickly between accounts, and you can set specific preferences (e.g. order by topic, order by reference, include reference in learning or not, etc.) for each account.
