The Remember Me app uses two main types of flashcards for Bible verse memorization: passage flashcards and inverse flashcards. Here's an explanation of their differences and settings:
Passage Flashcards
Passage flashcards are used for reviewing Bible verses you've learned. The settings for these include:
- Number of Review Flashcards: This setting determines the maximum number of flashcards you'll see in a single passage review session. When you tap on the flashcard symbol at the bottom of the page, Remember Me takes a batch of this size and presents it to you for review.
- Review Frequency: This setting controls how often verses will appear for review. On the "Normal" setting, you'll review verses after 1, 2, 4, 8, 16... days, following a spaced repetition algorithm.
- Interval Limit: This sets the maximum number of days until the next review, indirectly limiting the number of levels a verse can achieve.
When reviewing passages, you see the reference and topic, then recite the verse from memory. Correct recalls move the verse to the "Known" box and increase its level, while incorrect recalls reset the level to 0.
Inverse Flashcards
Inverse flashcards are used for reviewing the references of verses you've learned. The key setting for these is:
- Number of Inverse Flashcards: This determines the maximum number of flashcards per reference review session. When you tap on the flashcard symbol at the bottom of the page, Remember Me takes a batch of this size and presents it to you for review.
When reviewing references, you're shown the passage and must recall the reference from memory. This mode is more like a quiz and doesn't track long-term progress like passage reviews do.
