A verse can be related to others, in a ratio between 0 and many.

This opens the doors to another good memorization technique: creating your own story with a set of verses. In this way, a group of verses can be retained in your mind.

A good exercise is to relate parts of the Old Testament to other parts of the New Testament. For example:

The healing of the deaf-mute in Mk 7: 31-37, is clearly related to Is 35: 5-6 and also to Psalm 146.

So, you can memorize a bunch of 3 verses in the same story!

This type of exercise also helps to better understand the whole of the Bible.

I suppose giving the three verses in your example the same label or topic and then filtering by that label or topic and then memorizing would not be the same thing?

Another option might be to make a card with multiple non-sequential verses like this one I did entitled "God Loves You"

John 3:16
