Verse numbers are appearing in study tools

I just started with the app and I am unable to hide the verse numbers in the study tools (puzzle, obscure etc) upon download it was working but after closing the app and reopening it note the verse numbers are in the way.

What you're seeing is likely controlled by the "Learn with Reference" setting. When enabled, it includes verse numbers in the study tools (Puzzle, Obscure, etc.).

To turn it off:

Go to Settings (gear icon)
Under Account, find "Learn with Reference"
Toggle it off

This should hide the verse numbers from the study tools again. It's possible this setting got enabled during an update or sync.

Include Reference in Learning: ON / Learning by Topic: ON

I have set above settings, according to the advice in a post of 2024, but still the reference appears on the flashcard. Reinstalling the app didn't help. I also tried all other combinations but to no avail. The problem occurred suddenly since yesterday without doing any changes to my settings. So maybe related to an update?
